Great trail running shoes Salomon got it right
These are hands down my favorite trail running shoes. The low-profile of the sole keeps me close to the ground when running through hard terrain. It has enough cushioning to absorb the impact though and to prevent the stone bruise. The quick lace system is absolutely perfect, other companies have tried to do it, Salomon did it right. It works, it says secure and it's easy to use. I have opted for the non gore-tex version as I always run in warm and muddy conditions so I cannot comment on the performance of the membrain. Overall, this is a great shoe if you are running on the trail, worth every penny.
I'm living in these shoes
Great shoe, love pretty much all about it. Low profile which goes back to basics and it's in line with the latest 'barefoot' trend. The lacing system is awesome, stays on all day and I never had to adjust it. I went with the gore-tex version which seemed like a better option but quite frankly I don't think you need it, unless you walk in some wet conditions.
The best trail shoe, only with goretex
This is in my opinion the great trail shoe out there. After running and hiking in the traditional version I have decided to try the goretex version for fall and when it gets wet. Breathability was a concern, but I have yet to experience a conditions when the shoes would feel clammy. I would imagine that if you run in those in 100 degrees weather your feet will start sweating, but this is not what the shoes are designed for. So far, 50-60 degree conditions, rain, mud and dew and my feet are very happy.
